Therapy services β€” what to expect

A few honest notes on how we communicate

Stacy is a licensed therapist, and CRC also offers therapy and telehealth in select states. Whether you're a client, a curious visitor, or somewhere in between, here's what you can β€” and can't β€” count on from the channels on this site.

Communication boundaries

This contact form, our general email, and Piper are not therapy and not a clinical channel. We use them for general questions, scheduling, and resource help. Please don't share detailed clinical information here.

If you're an active therapy client, please use the secure client portal we shared at intake β€” that's the only channel we use for clinical conversations.

Confidentiality & standard email

Standard email and website contact forms are not fully confidential or HIPAA-secure. Messages travel through providers that may store, scan, or back them up.

We protect what you share to the best of our ability and only use it to reply. For anything sensitive β€” diagnoses, session content, medications, identifying details about minors β€” please use the secure portal or wait for your next session.

Telehealth expectations

Telehealth sessions happen on a HIPAA-compliant video platform sent to you in your appointment confirmation. Plan for:

  • A private space where you won't be overheard.
  • A reliable internet connection and a charged device.
  • Joining 2–3 minutes early to settle in.
  • A backup phone number in case the video drops.

Telehealth is currently offered to clients located in the states where Stacy is licensed at the time of session. Email us if you're unsure whether your location qualifies.

Response times & after-hours

Non-clinical messages here are answered within 2–3 business days. Clinical messages through the client portal are typically returned within 1 business day.

We do not provide after-hours or emergency response by email, web form, text, or Piper. Outside of session hours, please use the emergency resources below.

If you need help right now

If you or someone you love is in danger, please reach out to people who can be with you in real time:

  • 988 β€” call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US/Canada).
  • 741741 β€” text HOME to reach the Crisis Text Line.
  • 911 β€” or your local emergency services number.
  • Go to your nearest emergency room or urgent care.

You don't need to wait for a reply from us. These lines are staffed for exactly this moment, and reaching out is a strong, brave thing to do.
